AMD Geode
ในปี ค.ศ. 2003 ทาง AMD ได้เข้าซื้อกิจการของ National Semiconductor เป็นผลทำให้ AMD ได้ลิขสิทธิ์ของ Geode ไปด้วย
ทาง AMD นำ Geode GX2 ที่ทาง Nation Semiconductor กำลังพัฒนาอยู่ มาเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น AMD Geode GX และตามมาด้วย AMD Geode LX (ในรุ่นนี้จะมี L2 ด้วย) โดยใน 2 รุ่นนี้ได้เพิ่ม ตัวควบคุมหน่วยความจำชนิด SD และ DDR, ชุดคำสั่ง 3DNow! และหน่วยประมวลกราฟฟิกที่สามารถประมวลกราฟฟิกที่มีค่าความลึกของสีที่ หรือ Color Quality ที่ 24 Bit ได้
หลังจากนั้นทาง AMD ได้นำสถาปัตย์กรรม Thouroughbred ที่เดิมทีใช้อยู่ใน Athlon (K7) มาใช้ใน AMD Geode รุ่น NX ทำให้สามารถเพิ่มความเร็วในการทำงานได้มากขึ้น และมีความร้อนไม่มากนัก ทำให้สามารถใช้ร่วมกับชุดระบายความร้อนแบบ Fanless ได้
